INTRODUCTION
Confidentiality implies the relationship of confidence between the organisation and individuals.
Information management systems rely on any necessary restrictions on the free circulation of information being respected by those into whose hands the information is entrusted.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this document is to provide a framework for FAITHLIFE CHURCH INC in dealing with confidentiality considerations.
SCOPE
This policy applies to all the Church employees, volunteers, contractors, Board members and CEO (the workers).
POLICY
The Church collects and administers a range of information for a variety of purposes. Some of this information is restricted in its circulation for commercial, privacy, or ethical reasons.
In the course of employment or volunteering with the Church, individuals may learn or obtain confidential information belonging to FaithLife concerning its members, the organisation, or the workers.
The Church will place the minimum of restrictions on the information it holds but will ensure that such restrictions as are considered necessary are observed by its workers.
The workers will endeavour to handle confidential information collected or held by the Church in accordance with the Confidentiality Procedure.
