STATEMENT OF FAITH

  • We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three distinguishable Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, each fully God yet each personally distinguishable from the other. He is totally loving and completely holy. (Matthew 28:18-20; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
  • We believe that the Bible is God’s unique revelation, and that every word was supernaturally inspired by the Holy Spirit as it was being written down by various authors. The Bible is our final authority for all matters of life, belief and behaviour. (2 Timothy 3:16)
  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life. He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (Matthew 1:22-23; John 1:1-5; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Corinthians 15:1-7; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
  • We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the “new birth” we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.
  • We believe in the Holy Spirit who is equal to the Father and the Son. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every believer from the moment of Salvation, He gives power to believers for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance for doing what is right. He also empowers believers with spiritual gifts which to serve the church and a lost and needy world.
  • We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptised in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues which is the initial evidence of baptism in the Holy Spirit. We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfil our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.
  • We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and prosperous lives in order to help others more effectively. We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.
